BasiGo, a Kenyan electric bus manufacturer, has reached a significant milestone by deploying its 100th electric bus across Kenya and Rwanda, marking a major advancement for electric public transport in East Africa. Starting from just two pilot buses in Nairobi in early 2022, BasiGo’s fleet now serves over 20,000 daily passengers and has created more than 1,000 jobs related to assembly, maintenance, charging, and operations.
