The 400-megawatt Arc reactor will be located near major U.S. data centers, and this deal follows a similar agreement with Google announced earlier. While specific details about the power volume and timeline remain undisclosed, CFS CEO Bob Mumgaard confirmed that the demonstration-scale Sparc reactor, designed to validate the technology, is 65% complete and on track for activation in late 2026.
CFS’s fusion technology is based on a tokamak design using superconducting magnets to confine plasma and generate energy through fusion reactions.
