Ex-Waymo engineers launch Bedrock Robotics with $80M to automate construction

Bedrock Robotics, a startup founded by former Waymo and Segment engineers, has emerged publicly after more than a year of quiet development, announcing an $80 million funding round led by Eclipse and 8VC. The company is developing a retrofit self-driving kit designed to automate construction and other worksite vehicles by upgrading existing fleets with sensors, computing power, and AI that can understand project goals, adapt to changing conditions, and operate continuously.
