The 5,000-seat venue will emphasize sustainability and circular construction by using locally sourced laminated wood designed for disassembly and reuse. The stadium’s seating is distributed across four volumes with separate entrances to maintain a human scale, and the timber framework reflects a circular model aimed at recycling local resources. The design draws inspiration from the Japanese Shikinen Sengu tradition of ritual rebuilding, applying this concept to cycles of resources, community, and craftsmanship through reforestation, woodworking education, and participatory construction.
