Hybrid EV from China's Chery delivers massive 932-mile range

China’s Jetour, a brand under Chery focused on SUVs, is set to launch the Shanhai L7 Plus, an advanced plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that boasts a remarkable total driving range of up to 932 miles. Building on the original Shanhai L7 introduced in late 2024, the L7 Plus combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor powered by a 32.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. This hybrid system delivers a combined output of 355 hp and 530 Nm of torque, enabling both strong performance and impressive fuel efficiency, including 137 miles of electric-only range.
