Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) make up about 55% of sales, with battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounting for the remaining 45%. Mexico’s EV market share reached 6.4% in late 2024, briefly surpassing 8%, and positioning Mexico as the fifth Latin American country to exceed 5% EV market share, closely trailing Brazil.
