Volvo plans to assemble the upcoming Polestar 7 electric SUV at its new Kosice plant in Slovakia, with production expected to begin in 2026 and the vehicle launch slated for 2028. This marks a strategic expansion of Polestar’s manufacturing footprint beyond its traditional base in China, reflecting a broader global production approach. Slovakia was chosen due to its established automotive industry, skilled workforce, and robust supply chain, hosting major manufacturers like Volkswagen and Kia.
