This addition addresses range anxiety by expanding accessible charging infrastructure, reducing the need for EVs with extremely long ranges or large batteries. Strategically located less than a quarter mile from the I-287 ramp and a third of a mile from Route 46, the chargers serve both local residents and commuters, providing convenient access without detours. The site is adjacent to Waterview Marketplace, offering amenities such as coffee shops and retail stores, allowing drivers to utilize their charging time productively.
The six charging stations offer 32A output and are compatible with all EV models, with Tesla vehicles requiring an adapter. Payment options include app-based charging and QR code scanning for credit or debit card checkout, priced at $0.40 per kWh with a 10-minute idle grace period
