Waymo cleared to offer robotaxi rides at San Jose airport

Waymo has received approval to begin offering its robotaxi services at San Jose Mineta International Airport, marking its first airport service in California. The company plans to start testing its autonomous vehicles at the airport in the coming months and aims to launch commercial rides by the end of 2025. This development follows Waymo’s earlier efforts to serve airports in the state, including a permit to manually map San Francisco International Airport earlier this year, although commercial service there has not yet been approved.
